Recently I've been quite occupied in studying, so it's hard for me to squeeze a moment to draw.

but let me present my little painting(exercise) to you all:

最近我忙著念書，很難擠出時間畫畫。

但讓我曬一下一小張畫/習作給你們看看:

I combined coloured ink with transparent watercolour, and it turned out not bad.

I will surly try to mix gouache and acrylic next time.

(though I don't know the subtle differences between these two media.)

我混用了彩色墨水和透明水彩，最終效果不太糟。

下次會試試水粉和壓克力的效果。

(雖然我不知道這兩者在效果上的微妙差異...)

my partner Miss Coral, 

who is another worker on this blog, said that she has been absorbing some oriental, exotic ideas,

and will soon(or maybe not) present her painting on blog.

我的夥伴，同時也是這blog的另一個作者，Coral樣，

正在吸收一些東方味、異國風情的靈感，

將很快會(也可能不)在這裡呈現她的作品。

Bonjour à tous!
It's been quite a long time that I posted any articles.

距離上次更新已經滿久了。

 cuisine and politeness

the ornaments are derived from Chinese and Indian culture. 

裝飾圖樣是源於中國和印度文化。

la primavera

Tiger is a symbol of courage in Chinese culture, 

often used to protect children from danger and illness.

Tiger-head shoes and Tiger-head hats, for example.

在中國文化裡，虎是勇氣的象徵，

時常用在保護稚兒遠離疾病和危險上。

如虎頭鞋虎頭帽等。

The luncheon(inspired by Maugham)

I used this Argentine horned frog as a metaphor,

to describe the "civiled" lady who behaved differently in The luncheon.

  Argentine horned frog can eat as huge as itself.
我用南美鐘角蛙，
這個能夠吃下牠同類般大小的肉食動物，
作為一個「有教養的」淑女在午餐這篇文章中舉止大相逕庭的暗喻。

A room with a view

Red poppies in the erba,

indeed it's one of the classic scene in the movie"A room with a view".

茵草中的紅罌粟花，

確實是《窗外有藍天》電影中的經典畫面。

Asparagus with Robert Frost

The Riot of Spring is a great dance, sounds marvelous as well.

And so does Robert Frost.

The reasons I love his poem are the same as Hermann Hesse's.

why, so peaceful and grace!

Let me write down the poem on the painting in here for you:

Oh, give me pleasure in the flowers today;

And give us not to think so far away 

as the uncertain harvest:

Keep us here, all simply in the springing of the year. 

the gleam of spring, isn't is?

春之祭是齣好舞蹈作品，聽起來也是如此絕美。

Robert Frost也是一樣。

我喜歡他的詩的理由和喜歡赫曼赫塞的相同，

那麼和平和優雅!

讓我節錄寫在畫上的詩給你：

哦，請在此刻賜我花中的歡愉；

別讓我們的思緒飄得那麼遙遠。如同思索未知的收獲：

讓我們停駐此刻，全神地只在這一年的春意盎然。

【Made to order】forever young

This one was made to order gift card for a retired teacher.

I wrote down the lyrics from Bob Dylan's "Forever young".

(Of course, better sang by Joan Beaz...)

About the meaning,

To me, tree is the creature with wisdom,

it improves daily, indefatigably, 

and also knows how to make a choice in a dilemma:

the choice of keeping it or letting it go.

這是給一個退休老師訂做的禮物卡。

我寫了一段從Bob Dylan'的Forever young裡的歌詞，

(當然Joan Beaz唱得好聽多了...)

關於深意，

對我來說，樹是一個有智慧的生物，

它每天不屈不撓地成長，

也知道如何在兩難中作出留下或者放手的決定。
